Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (PRCA”) and Department of Design Construction Management (“DCM”) are seeking funding for design, planning, and construction of Sunset Park.

 

PRCA and DCM desire to apply for the upcoming National Park Services/Land and Water Conservation Fund Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (“ORLP”) Program grant in the amount of $7,580,050.00.

 

The ORLP grant requires a one-to-one match equivalent to $7,580,050.00 from the grant recipient.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The estimated total cost for this project is $15,160,100.00. If awarded, grant funding in the amount of $7,580,050.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2025 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan for this project.

 

Funding for the City’s proposed grant match of $7,580,050.00 will be budgeted in a future Capital Improvement Plan subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
