Explanation:
The City currently has 143 active Luke 2 pay-by-plate multi-space pay stations located throughout City that were purchased during the years 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2024 from T2 Systems Inc. The pay stations located on the beach were purchased in 2016 and are beyond their useful life due to corrosion caused by the saltwater air. This resolution is for the purchase of 52 new pay stations that will replace pay stations located in city-controlled beach parking lots and adjacent to on-street public parking spaces. It also includes the purchase of spare credit card readers, as the new pay stations will have EMV chip credit card readers as opposed to magnetic stripe readers.
Fiscal Impact:
The funding for the pay-stations ($610,000.00) and spare parts ($6,125.00) is available in the FY2025 Capital Improvement Plan and Operating Budget in account numbers 446.159901.54500.564531.001905.000.000 and 446.150103.54500.552140.000000.000.000 respectively.
