The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department proudly recognizes two individuals for their exceptional service and heroic actions.
Meritorious Service Award: Lieutenant Chris Garcia is being honored for his dedicated service during an eight-day international Urban Search and Rescue deployment to Venezuela following a catastrophic earthquake.
Lifesaving Award: Ocean Lifeguard Marcelo Lorenzo is being honored for his heroic actions in rescuing multiple individuals during a boating accident while off duty and vacationing abroad.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this presentation will not fiscally impact the City.
