Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

On December 7, 2022, Resolution No. R-2022-361 was passed and adopted by the City which approved an award with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program in the amount of $200,000.00 for improvements to Oakridge Park with the required grant match of 50% from the grant recipient.

Due to the grant award being dependent of the one-to-one match, the Director of Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts recommends the City Commission authorize the one-to-one grant matching funds.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for the remainder of the grant match will be allocated by amending the FY 2024 Capital Improvement Plan as detailed in Exhibit “1”, subject to approval of this resolution.
