Explanation:

The Police Department desires to continue to enhance public safety by upgrading and purchasing new closed circuit television and license plate reader equipment, which has proven to assist in serving as a crime deterrent and essential forensic tool to solve crimes.  The Blanket Purchase Agreement with Vetted Security Solutions will allow for the replacement of end of life technology as well as the purchase of new equipment.  The Police Department has identified new locations where the technology can be beneficial and plans to utilize private property partnerships for placement of new technology. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for this service/project is available in the FY 2022 Operating Budget in account number 001.204601.52100.546310.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to the approval and adoption by the City Commission. A portion of this funding was included in the amended FY 2022 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.209901.52100.563010.000155.000.000. The remainder of the funding will be funded through JAG grant proceeds.
