Explanation:
The American Public Works Association has declared May 19-25, 2024, as National Public Works Week. Every year since 1960, the last week of May has been dedicated to the recognition of Public Works Professionals across the United States. This year’s theme is “Advancing Quality of Life for All”. Educating and bringing attention to Public Works professionals, and the contributions their dedication, efforts, and skills make to the communities they serve enhances and advances the quality of life for the residents, business owners, employees, leaders, and visitors.
This year's proclamation will be accepted by the Public Works Director, Joseph S. Kroll, and Division Supervisors, Beach Maintenance, Facilities & Trades, Fleet, Environmental Services, and Right of Way Maintenance.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
