Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") desires to engage qualified contractors to perform various construction services to address flooding throughout the City.

On April 19, 2023, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2023-101, approving three contracts for construction services related to 2023 Drainage Infrastructure Improvements, for an initial term of two years each, with Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. ("SEC"), Man Con, Inc. ("Man Con"), and the Stout Group, LLC ("Stout"), in amounts not to exceed $1,200,000.00, $1,000,000.00, and $800,000.00 respectively. These contracts provide an initial term of two years, with two additional one-year renewal terms, at the option of the City and under the same terms and conditions.

On March 20, 2024, pursuant to Resolution No. R-2024-096, the City Commission authorized the execution of change orders to the contracts with SEC and Man Con to increase the total amounts by $1,500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 respectively, making the new total contracts, including the change orders, in amounts up to $2,700,000.00 and $2,000,000.00 respectively.

The Department desires to renew the contract with SEC based on their performance, prompt support during major rain events and considering that the original contract amount has been nearly exhausted in Fiscal Year 2024.

The renewed contract will allow the Department to potentially complete the following projects and continue the ongoing citywide drainage improvement:
