Explanation:
The City is responsible for planning, regulating, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining a wastewater collection system, including 86 sanitary sewer lift stations and over 290 miles of sewer conveyance.

The Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant ("SRWWTP") serves six Large Users. Large Users of the SRWWTP are the City of Dania Beach, City of Hallandale Beach, City of Miramar, Town of Pembroke Park, City of Pembroke Pines and portions of Broward County. Large User Meters ("LUM") are necessary to transport and measure massive volumes of effluent and raw sewage to the SRWWTP. The City requires proper functioning equipment to monitor and ensure accurate tracking of heavy-load waste discharge for billing and compliance.

The LUM sites requiring replacement are LUM-BC-01, LUM-03, LUM-03B, LUM-05, LUM-06, LUM-08, LUM-09, LUM-11 and LUM-12. The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") recommends replacement of the meters, repair of vaults, installing sump pumps and raising electrical panels at the aforementioned locations.
