Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Police Department has applied to the Broward County Marine Advisory Committee for grant funds totaling $151,128.00 to promote and enhance the safe and recreational use of the navigable waterways within the City and to protect and preserve the natural and man-made marine resources.  The grant funds will be used to provide overtime funding for law enforcement patrols on the waterways and purchase marine related equipment. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Grant funding will be appropriated in the FY 2027 Operating Budget of the Police Grant Fund (Fund 113).
