Explanation:
The Hollywood Housing Authority was created pursuant to the authority of the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Florida, including specifically, Chapter 421 Public Housing, to provide housing for low- and moderate-income families.
The purpose of the Hollywood Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is to develop and monitor policies and establish controls for providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing to the residents utilizing housing assistance programs.
The Hollywood Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is composed of five total members, four citizens at-large and one housing area resident.
The current members are David Dweck, Octavia Mills, and Alberto Collazo Rosario. A Citizen at-Large position has been vacated by Jonathan Lorber.
The Office of the City Clerk provided notice to the public regarding the opportunity to serve as a Board member for the Hollywood Housing Authority.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
