Explanation:

The Department of Public Utilities (“Department”) needs to purchase two Thompson Pumps, model 6JSC-FT4-9.5. These sound-attenuated, high-efficiency low-horsepower Trash Pumps will be deployed at various locations throughout the City as needed to manage stormwater flows and support a range of underground and wastewater utility projects.

The desired pumps were competitively bid by The Florida Sheriffs Association (“FSA”) through FSA23-EQU21.0 on May 5, 2023, and awarded to Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Col., Inc. (“Thompson Pump”) under contract FSA23-EQU21.0.

The initial term of contract FSA23-EQU21.0 was from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025, with a one-year extension from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, under the updated contract FSA23-EQU21.1.

Thompson Pump has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in FSA23-EQU21.1. These two pumps will be acquired for an amount up to $116,004.00.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this Purchase Order is available in the FY 2026 Operating Budget in account number 443.410101.53800.564531.000000.000.000.
