Explanation:
The City of Hollywood is proud to recognize National Career Development Month and its successful partnership with Opportunities Industrialization Center of South Florida, Inc. (OIC of South Florida, Inc.) November 2025 has been designated by the National Career Development Association as National Career Development Month, a time to emphasize career exploration, skills training, and workforce readiness as essential components of strong communities and vibrant economies.
Through the City’s partnership with OIC of South Florida, 67 Hollywood residents from low - and low - moderate income households have completed industry recognized training and gained access to career pathways that support long-term economic stability and success.
The proclamation will be accepted by Joann Hussey, Director of the Office of Communications, Marketing and Economic Development along with Newton Sanon, President & CEO of Opportunities Industrialization Centers of South Florida (OIC).
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
