Explanation:
Phase IV Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities, Coastal Resiliency and Streetscape Beautification was identified in the Hollywood Beach Community Redevelopment Plan as it promotes redevelopment and eliminates the causes of physical and economic blight, therefore the CRA Board (“Board”) directed staff to proceed with Streetscape Improvements and Utility Undergrounding from Hollywood Boulevard to the southern City limits, from Harrison Street to Magnolia Terrace from State Road A1A to the west right of way line of the Broadwalk, and State Road A1A from Hollywood Boulevard to the southern city limits. The scope of the Project includes the East-West (E/W) streets Coastal Resiliency, Surf Road improvements, private property harmonization, street end plazas, State Road A1A enhancements, and Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) Resurfacing, Rehabilitation, and Restoration (“RRR”) scope implementation, Keating Park, among others.
On December 6, 2023, pursuant to Resolution No. R-CRA-2023-61, the Board approved the execution of an Agreement with Burkhardt Construction, Inc., (“Burkhardt”) for a Guaranteed Maximum Price (“GMP”) for the Phase II construction services for the Phase IV project in an amount up to $48,277,581.36; which includes 18 E/W Streets, S...
