Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

In July 2022, pursuant to Resolution No. R-2022-216, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) was awarded funding for the 2022/2023 Children's Services Council ("CSC") Maximizing Out of School Time ("MOST") grant funding Youth After School and Summer Programs.

 

CSC has advised PRCA of the intent to renew the MOST grant for the third renewal period of October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026 and award the approximate amount of $977,592.00.

 

PRCA is recommending the third renewal of the three renewal periods.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

If approved, grant funding in the amount of $977,592.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2025 Operating Budget for the CSC MOST grant as detailed in Exhibit 1.

 

Funding for the City’s required minimum 5% match will be provided in-kind utilizing existing full-time employee salaries.
