Explanation:

The Police Department desires to improve its existing network infrastructure and retain consultant services for future technology projects. The Department is developing a technology roadmap to drive future infrastructure additions/upgrades.  This roadmap will allow for improvements to projects such as CCTV, LPR and security design services.  A consultant will provide recommendations for the effective implementation and integration of current department technology strategies and recommended technologies.

The Police Department solicited competitive bids and received 6 proposals. A selection committee scored 6 firms, short-listed 4 firms, and interviewed and ranked 3 firms.

It is the recommendation of the Selection Committee to rank the three firms in the following order for consideration:

1.                     Introba

2.                     Miller Electric Company

3.                     GHD Inc.

The Police Department recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to negotiate a contract with the highest-ranked firm for this project.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2024 Capital Improvement Plan, and is available in account number 334.209901.52100.563010.000155.000.000.
