Historic Preservation Month is celebrated through the Country during the month of May. This program was created by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to spotlight preservation efforts by local governments and communities. This year the theme for Preservation Month 2014 is "New Age of Preservation: Embark, Inspire, Engage."
In recognition of this distinctive time, each year the City of Hollywood Historic Preservation Board and City Commission present awards in celebration of notable preservation initiatives within Hollywood.
