Explanation:
National Community Development Week is scheduled for April 6-10, 2026. This week provides an opportunity to showcase the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) federally funded projects, and to encourage our congressional representatives to continue supporting the CDBG and HOME programs.
The Community Development Division is committed to enhancing outreach to the community by working with its partners to assist in promoting and marketing the various housing and social service initiatives. The celebration of National Community Development Week gives the City an opportunity to highlight the partnerships established with neighborhoods, non-profit service providers, the Community Development Advisory Board and program supporters.
The proclamation will be accepted by Community Development Division staff, the Community Development Advisory Board members and local partners.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
