Explanation:
The Hollywood, Florida Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") supports the undergrounding of facilities for reason of public safety and aesthetics. The CRA already constructed three phases of 33 blocks between SR A1A, the Broadwalk, from New Mexico Street to Tyler Street, and in completing SR A1A from Sheridan Street to Hollywood Boulevard. Except for Michigan and Johnson Street, the project consists of converting utilities from overhead to underground.
On February 5, 2019, the CRA Board approved Resolution No. BCRA 2019-09, authorizing the appropriate CRA officials to negotiate and execute a contract with the highest ranked firm, Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc.
On June 3, 2020, the CRA Board passed and adopted Resolution No. R? BCRA 2020-20, which authorized Kimley Horn and Associates to provide consulting services for the design of Phase IV Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification for both the E/W Streets and SR A1A from Hollywood Boulevard to the southern City limits and the Consultant prepared plans and specifications.
The CRA requested a proposal to provide construction administration services for Phase IV, EW Streets and SR A1A- Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification project.
