Explanation:
National Arbor Day is celebrated every year in April to recognize all the wonderful contributions that trees bring into our daily lives. Some of these contributions include the reduction of erosion, cutting heating and cooling costs, production of oxygen and providing habitat for wildlife. In conjunction with the National Arbor Day celebration, a volunteer project is scheduled on Thursday, April 22, 2021 to include the planting of two Gumbo Limbo trees at the ArtsPark at Young Circle, located at 1 Young Circle, Hollywood, FL 33019.
The proclamation with be accepted by Lee Gottlieb and volunteers from the Youth Environmental Alliance (YEA), Inc.
The proclamation will be presented at the April 21, 2021 City Commission Meeting.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
