Explanation:
The School Board of Broward County and the City have had agreements for the past several years, for reciprocal use of each other’s facilities.
The agreement has fostered the benefits of a partnership through enhanced communication, cooperation and shared use of facilities.
On May 17, 2017, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2017-126 which authorized the execution of a Reciprocal Use Agreement for a five-year term which expires on June 10, 2022.
The parties desire to enter into a new agreement in order to continue the use of each other’s facilities to provide both municipal and educational programs.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this agreement will have a nominal fiscal impact to the City.
