Explanation:
On August 19, 2024, a Phase I Pre-Construction Services Agreement was executed with Journey C&D Group, Inc. ("Journey") for the City Hall Space Planning project in an amount up to of $20,000.00.

Phase I Preconstruction Services were completed and Journey provided the Department of Design and Construction Management ("DCM") with a Guaranteed Maximum Price ("GMP") proposal for the City Hall Space Planning Project in an amount up to $853,966.94, with an owner allowance of $110,000.00 included within the proposal amount, which staff has determined to be fair and reasonable and in accordance with industry standards.

It is in the best interest of the City to enter into an agreement with Journey to provide Phase II construction services for the City Hall Space Planning Project pursuant to the attached agreement.

The Deputy Director of DCM recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the execution of the attached Construction Management at Risk Phase II Construction Services Agreement for the City Hall Space Planning Project ("Agreement") in an amount of up to $853,966.94.


Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2026 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account numbers 334.179901.51900.531170.001742.000.000 and 446.179901.54500.563020.002002.000.000.
