Explanation:
The purpose of the Civil Service Board is to serve as an appellate review board relating to employee suspensions, demotions, or terminations, and as an appellate review board for testing, promotion, or placement challenges.
The Civil Service Board is comprised of five members. The five members are as follows: Zulma Collazo who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the private sector in the area of personnel administration; Dr. Jalane Meloun who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the private sector, in a non-management position; David Bennett who is a member who is currently employed or previously employed by the private sector and part of the management of their employer; Jason Rudolph who is a member currently self-employed or previously self-employed; and Mitchell Anton who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the public sector.
There are four terms on the Civil Service Board expiring on June 30, 2025, the current incumbents and positions are:
Zulma Collazo who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the private sector in the area of personnel administration;
Dr. Jalane Meloun who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the private sector, in a non-management position;
David Bennett who is a member who is currently employed or previously employed by the private sector and part of the management of their employer.
Mitchell Anton who is a member currently employed or previously employed by the public sector;
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
