SECOND READING:
Section 16 of the definition of public nuisance was removed as it is redundant and covered in Section 1. “Repeat nuisance” was changed to “recurring nuisance” for consistency with other provisions. The penalty section was changed to remove the limit on total fines.
FIRST READING:
The City wishes to establish a Nuisance Abatement Program to hold property owners responsible for abating nuisances which exist on their property and, if the owners fail to do so, permitting the City to abate the nuisance and be reimbursed for the associated costs.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of the attached ordinance will not fiscally impact the City.
