This item involves conducting a Public Hearing and the approval of the City's Five-Year Consolidated Plan for federal program years 2024/2025-2028/2029 and Annual Action Plan, which includes the Projected Use of Funds for Federal Program Year 2024-2025.
HUD has mandated that all entitlement cities submit a Consolidated Plan, including an Annual Action Plan, governing housing and community development needs within the jurisdiction using U.S. Census data, locally adopted planning documents, and through a public participation process.
On December 13, 2023, a public hearing was held before the Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB) and the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) to obtain citizen input during the development of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan.
On May 8, 2024, the CDAB reviewed and evaluated the proposed Five-Year Consolidated Plan for federal program years 2024/2025-2028/2029 and the Annual Action Plan, and subject to minor revisions and the inclusion of activities eligible for funding for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, have forwarded a recommendation of approval to the City Commission.
HUD has allocated $1,234,567.00 in CDBG funds for the City of Hollywood and the City has estimated the receipt of $220,300.00 in CDBG Program Income for use in Federal Program Year 2024-2025.
HUD has allocated $517,547.00.00 in HOME funds for the City of Hollywood and the City has estimated the receipt of $1,500,000.00 in HOME Program Income for use in Federal Program Year 2024-2025.
