Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts desires to purchase Beach Equipment Concession Services for the continued operation of beach concessions for residents and guests to Hollywood Beach.

On October 25, 2025, Request for Proposals Number RFP-344-25 (“RFP”) was electronically advertised on OpenGov.com to solicit the desired Beach Concessionaire Services in accordance with Section 38.43(A) of the Procurement Code.  The RFP resulted in one proposal by the response due date from which was from Boucher Brothers Hollywood Beach, LLC (Hollywood, FL).

The Selection Committee recommends that the City Commission authorize the negotiation and execution of an agreement with Boucher Brothers Hollywood Beach, LLC, for a term of five years with an option to renew for three additional one-year periods to provide Beach Concessionaire Services.

Fiscal Impact:

The estimated annual amount the City will receive from the revenue sharing of Beach Concessionaire Services for Year 1 is $410,000.00, and revenues are projected to increase each subsequent year as outlined.
