Explanation:
Certain routine and periodic revisions and adjustments to the authorized assignment of positions are considered to be appropriate and necessary during the Fiscal Year.
This resolution seeks to adjust the assignment of authorized full-time positions, job classifications and pay grades previously established for proper budgetary control. These adjustments are due to changes within and the addition of departments and offices.
Previously in FY 19, the Commission has approved Resolutions R-2019-006 and R-2019-048 that increased the number of full-time positions from 1,273 to 1,276.
The enclosed resolution includes the following change:
• Addition of nine positions due to the creation of the Department of Design and Construction Management
The changes listed above increase the number of full-time positions authorized for fiscal year 2019 from 1,276 to 1,285.
