Explanation:

The Department of Information Technology needs to replace the obsolete computer mounting systems in eight reserve Fire Department vehicles which will allow recently purchased computers to be safely secured.  ARC Acquisition US, Inc. submitted a quote for $32,945.34 for the equipment and installation.

In December 2021, the Department of Information Technology purchased a total of twenty Panasonic CF-33 Laptops for front-line Fire Department vehicles which cost $77,574.80.  This additional purchase for mounting systems requires Commission approval since it puts total expenditures towards ARC Acquisition US, Inc. beyond the $100,000.00 amount allowed per City vendor.

ARC Acquisition US, Inc. is an authorized reseller of Panasonic equipment as listed in DMS Contract Number 43211500-WSCA-15-ACS Amendment 5.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this purchase is available in the FY 2022 Operating Budget in account number 557.130101.51900.552150.000000.000.
