Explanation:
At the March 20, 2019 City Commission meeting, Commissioner Blattner requested that the City Attorney’s Office draft a policy regarding businesses that boycott or divest from the State of Israel. Commissioner Blattner’s request was supported by other City Commissioners.
Based upon the request, the proposed Resolution was prepared using Broward County’s recent resolution and other resolutions that the City Attorney’s Office found.
