Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The Parks Recreation and Cultural Arts Department (“PRCA”) solicited proposals to create a Master Plan for the Hollywood Marina.

On December 2, 2020 Resolution No. R-2020-319 was approved and authorized the appropriate City officials to negotiate and execute an agreement with Moffat & Nichol (“M & N”).

M & N was chosen to develop a Master Plan providing long range options to guide the City in deciding how to position the Marina to become a top-rated modern facility to accommodate future needs of the boating industry.

Project deliverables included project management and collaboration, public outreach, analysis of site and applicable documents, research and forecasting of economic data and the development of actionable items.  This agenda item seeks to adopt the Marina Master Plan.

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal for adoption of the Marina Master Plan.  However, the implementation of recommended initiatives will require further analysis to determine the full cost, appropriate financing mechanism(s), and timing of implementation of the recommendations (all of which will be subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission).
