Explanation:
In a special election held on March 12, 2019, voters of the City approved a variety of projects to be funded by a General Obligation Bond ("GOB"); one of these projects being the North Beach Utilities Underground Conversion project.

Under the Hollywood Beach Utility Improvements - Phase 1A project, in the 2007 Water Main System Master Plan, the City identified the need to replace old water distribution infrastructure and increase the size of the existing sanitary sewer force main in the North Beach area.

The Department of Design and Construction Management ("DCM") and the Department of Public Utilities have agreed to manage and construct these projects under one Construction Management at Risk ("CMAR") contract to reduce the cost and to minimize construction impacts to the residents.

On December 1, 2021, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2021-306, ranking CMAR firms and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute Phase 1 Pre-Construction services agreement with the highest ranked firm to provide CMAR services for the combined project.
