Explanation:
The Villas of Positano Condominium ("Positano") light pole replacement project scope of work includes removing and replacing 21 light poles on the access sidewalks on the north and south sides of the condominium between North Ocean Drive and the Hollywood Broadwalk ("Project").
The Department of Design and Construction Management ("DCM") has procured Pomeroy Electric Incorporated ("Pomeroy") as the installation contractor. A site visit was conducted in order to determine a storage and staging location for the project materials and the access to the light locations for the crane and auger equipment.
During a site visit to determine a staging location for the Project materials and the access to the light locations for the crane and auger equipment, it was determined that the crane and auger equipment would not fit on the width of the pathway and would need to be accessed from the North Beach Park, a Broward County property.
It was determined that Positano did not have any extra space for a staging area to store the project materials throughout the duration of the Project.
Broward County has agreed to provide a space within North Beach Park to use as a staging area
The proposed Site Access Agreement sets forth the terms under which the City is able to access the park to replace and repair light poles on the adjacent property to North Beach Park.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact related to this the proposed Site Access Agreement.
