Explanation:
Firehouse Subs has established a Public Safety Foundation that awards grants to public safety entities.
In order to be compliant with NFPA 1971 the Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting, the Fire Department has determined that the existing boots and expiring boots should be replaced.
The New Model 4201 Structural Firefighting Boot by PRO-Warrington, is a pull-on, hybrid fabric/leather bunker style boot that delivers comfort, reduces fatigue, eliminates leg exposure and is NFPA 1971 Certified.
The Department of Fire Rescue and Beach Safety desires to apply said grant in order to replace the existing boots and expiring boots, with the New Model 4201Structural Firefighting Boot which is unmatched in stability and durability, as the Kevlar fiber thermal lining protects from punctures and delivers thermal stability to the leg and foot, is a lightweight, comfortable and breathable bunker boot that significantly reduces weight and fatigue.
The Firehouse Grant funding is approximately between $10,000.00 - $20,000.00 that will be utilized in order meet or exceed NFPA 1971 and Class 75 impact resistance/compression resistance requirements of ASTM F2413-05.
