Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Department of Public Utilities operates the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (SRWWTP), located at 1621 North 14th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida.

The SRWWTP receives its electrical services from Florida Power & Light (FPL) via four main electrical feeders, two at the North Electrical Service Center and the other two at the South Electrical Service Center.

The North and South Electric Service Centers also house a total of seven (7) backup electrical generators that utilize Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), to automatically control the SRWWTP transition from FPL power to the backup generator power and vice-versa, upon loss of normal power or its restoration from FPL.

The ATS at the North and South Electric Service Centers are proprietary systems of Emerson/ASCO Services and were designed, installed, and maintained (up to this current period) by ASCO.

The ATS, more specifically known as the ASCO Synchronizing Control System, are designed to automatically start, synchronize and parallel four (4) 1600KW/4160VAC diesel engine generator sets at the North Electric Service Center, and three (3) 750KW/4160VAC at the South Electric Service Center, upon initiation of an automatic sequence with the loss of FPL power.
