Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The City owns the property at 906 North Dixie Highway located at the northwest corner of North Dixie Highway and Johnson Street, generally known as Dowdy Fields.

Broward County has requested the City to provide this right-of-way dedication as part of the Broward County Trafficways Plan requirements without impacting the site layout.  The right-of-way dedication consists of a 4` wide strip along the east side of the property and a 30` corner chord at the southeast corner of the property.

The right-of-way dedication is required to provide an adequate regional roadway network as set forth by the Broward County Trafficways Plan.  Additionally, the corner chord is necessary to ensure sufficient space for future intersection improvements such as upgrades to the existing traffic signal equipment.

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
