Explanation:

The Hollywood Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department Training Tower is in need of repair. The installation and replacement of Padgenite panels, window shutters, assemblies and doors are needed. The Training Tower is utilized to conduct live fire training and is a specialized building to train firefighters.

The Fire Department has determined that the necessary repairs from Jahnke & Sons Construction, Inc. d/b/a WHP Training Towers ("WHP Training Towers") are a sole source purchase due to WHP Training Towers being a proprietary company and the materials manufacturer.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2024 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.219901.52200.546301.001850.000.000.
