Explanation:
On May 17, 2023, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2023-141, authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute a Construction Management at Risk Services Agreement Phase II with State Contracting & Engineering Corporation ("State Contracting") for the renovation of the Armory Community Center at Dowdy Field ("Contract").
On February 21, 2024, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2024-048, authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute a change order to the Contract increasing the contract amount by $650,000.00.
The Department of Design and Construction Management ("DCM") desires to issue a second change order to the Contract to increase the contract term from 375 days to 768 days, with a completion date of July 13, 2025.
The proposed change order provides an extension of time to the Contract for the scope of work for the upgrade to the electrical system at the Dowdy Field concession building, permitting of the new electrical system, and the construction and installation of the electrical work with an expected completion date of April 14, 2025.
The proposed change order provides an extension of time to the Contract for the right-of-way dedication from the City to Broward County for the corner of Johnson Street and Dixie Highway that is required by Broward County as a permitting condition with an estimated completion date of June 31, 2025
