Explanation:
Periodically vacant lots are conveyed to the city as a result of delinquent taxes or by foreclosure of maintenance liens or deed in lieu of foreclosure.

Subsequent to conveyance to the city, the property is circulated among the city's various departments for potential use. Those properties not considered suitable or needed for city use are identified as surplus property for public sale. The sale of city property requires city commission approval and if beach, beachfront, park, or recreational facility requires approval by a majority vote of the city's electors.

At the request of the Director of Real Estate, Procurement Services conducted Sealed Bid Sale Number S-201 for the sale of eight (8) surplus City properties.

Robert Fautz was the high bidder on three properties which were authorized for sale by the following approved resolutions:

R-2014-023 - Parcel ID No. 514204010050 an approximately 40' x 83' vacant commercial lot at 2221 Sheridan Street that escheated to the County for delinquent taxes during 1997 and was subsequently conveyed to the city on March 24, 1998;

R-2014-026 - Parcel ID No. 514204013860 an approximately 80' x 104' vacant residential lot at 2350 Farragut Street that was conveyed to the city by Tax Deed on March 6, 2003;

R-2014-028 - Parcel ID No. 514204010030 & 514204010031 two half lots combined as a 40' x 83' vacant commercial lot located immediately west of 2213 Sheridan Street conveyed to the city during January 2000 as consideration for accrued property maintenance liens.
