Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

Pursuant to City of Hollywood Ordinance Section 33.025(R)(7), the Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees possesses the responsibility for the administration of the Fund, including the determination of policy and the maintenance of effective operating procedures.

 

Section 33.025(R)(1) provides that the Board consists of seven members: the City Manager or their designee; two citizen members who shall be residents of the City appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the City Commission; two employee members with at least six years of credited service, elected by and representing the employees; one member representing retirees; and one member with accounting or investment experience representing employees whose positions are not included in a collective bargaining unit. 

 

The terms of office of the citizen member trustees and the employee-elected trustees shall be three years. 

 

Jeffrey Greene’s term expires June 30, 2025 and there is a position which is currently vacant and has not been filled, which expired June 30, 2024.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

This resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
