Explanation:
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has declared the month of May, 2014 as Historic Preservation Month.  This year's theme is "New Age of Preservation: Embark, Inspire, Engage." Preservation Month provides the perfect time to show how the community's history honors the past and helps build the future.  The City of Hollywood has always placed a priority on preservation through the adoption of historic preservation ordinances, designating historic sites and districts, and continually supporting historic preservation activity throughout the City.  The attached proclamation recognizes this commitment to historic preservation.
