Explanation:
The Office of Parking and Code Compliance desires to continue providing landscaping, lot clearing, and bulk waste removal services for non-maintained improved properties and vacant lots throughout the City. Following a competitive solicitation, the City recommends awarding agreements to Able Business Services, LL Genuine Care Landscaping LLC, SEALY TRINBAGO INC, and Hands On Development LLC on an “as needed” basis. Utilizing multiple contractors will provide greater flexibility and help prevent gaps in service when one contractor is unavailable or unable to meet the City’s needs. The projected cost is up to $100,000 annually, for a total of $300,000 over the initial three-year term, with up to two additional two-year renewal terms. Costs incurred for services performed on properties may be assessed to the responsible property owner and recovered through the City's established lien process, where permitted by law.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for the agreements will be available in the FY 2027 Operating Budget in account number 001.220101.53900.546480.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years operating budget subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission
