Explanation:
The CRA Acting Executive Director Is Seeking A Commitment From FDOT To Fund And/Or Construct The Daffodil Terrace And Jackson To Jefferson Street Stormwater Pump Stations. The Request Includes Reimbursement For Design Costs And Either FDOT-Led Construction Or Reimbursement For Construction. These Stations Are Critical To Completing The Broader Pump Network And Ensuring The Effectiveness Of Existing FDOT Infrastructure. The Total Estimated cost is $22 Million.
Additionally, The City Is Seeking Commitment From FDOT To Replace Existing Flap Gates With New Wapro Valves, And To Maintain Their Current Backflow Preventers/Wapro Valves On At Least An Annual Basis.
Finally, The City Is Urging FDOT To Address System Deficiencies By Repairing Leaking Pipes, Maintaining Stormwater Infrastructure, Accelerating Basin Repairs, And Potentially Entering An Agreement Allowing The City To Perform FDOT Pipe Repairs With Reimbursement.
