Explanation:
On February 25, 2021, the City was awarded numerous surtax grants from the Broward County Mobility Advancement Program ("MAP") to complete various municipal rehabilitation and maintenance projects. One of the approved municipal rehabilitation and maintenance projects is the repaving of North 26th Avenue between Taft Street and Sheridan Street. The City is required to complete the pavement work within 12 months after the execution of the Project Funding Agreement with MAP.

In order to obtain synergies among various projects, provide cost efficiency, and reduce inconvenience to the residents and the roadway users, the Department of Public Utilities ("Department") intends to complete the water main replacement and drainage improvements within the same project area prior to starting the repaving of North 26th Avenue between Taft Street and Sheridan Street project.
