Explanation:
The gym space in the new Police Headquarters will be outfitted with new fitness equipment. The vendor quoted $167,559.46 for the gym equipment needs, including services and accessories. In consideration of design and structural changes during the transitional period, an additional $33,000.00 in contingency is planned to cover the costs of completing this project.
The gym equipment is being procured by piggybacking the Broward County School Board’s purchasing agreement to reduce administrative costs, ensure price competitiveness, and achieve cost savings.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2026 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.209901.52100.564531.001190.000.000.
