Explanation:

The City of Hollywood's Education Advisory Committee was created to help promote and support quality educational opportunities in the city and ensure the opportunities in Hollywood are among the best available in Florida. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, except for August and December, when the Committee is in recess.

Education Advisory Committee members must reside, work, or attend public school in Hollywood and demonstrate a strong, diverse interest in education, including backgrounds in child development, education, business, or parenting.

The Education Advisory Committee may consist of thirteen members: seven Regular Members, four Teacher Members, and two Student Alternate Members.

The current make-up of the Committee is as follows:

Teacher Members: John (Chris) Canter, Carlos Garrido Gonzalez, Allain McGuffie, and Marcus Moise.

Regular Members: Wanda Colon, Deborah Reaves Deveaux, Tera Tedesco-Fasco, Jacelyn Shiring, and three vacant positions due to the declination of appointment by Adam Roberti, the removal of Dr. Mary Mites-Campbell, and the resignation of Valorie Weldon.
