Explanation:
On February 11, 2014, Broward County became the first county government in the United States to achieve a 4-STAR Community Rating by STAR, a national rating system measuring local government's environmental, economic and community efforts to achieve sustainability. STAR stands for Sustainability Tools for Assessing and Rating Communities.
Jill Horwitz, Natural Resource Specialist, Broward Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division, will provide a presentation.
