Explanation:
The Port Everglades Rowing Club d/b/a Hollywood Rowing Club (Club) has been operating a rowing program for the past 20 years in Holland Park.  Their current agreement will expire on July 31, 2015 and they wish to renew this agreement under the terms and conditions for continued use of the facilities.  During the first agreement, they constructed a boat storage building and a rowing dock, both of which they maintain at their cost.  They work closely with other community rowing programs, specifically Nova Southeastern, University School and other local rowers to promote the sport of rowing.  The current agreement is for a period of five years with three additional two year, mutually agreed renewals. The Club has paid no rent for use of the space but there is no cost to the City since they maintain their own facilities.  Their presence in the park is beneficial as a positive activity which deters unacceptable behavior.  They are also working to make future improvements to the park and boating facilities.
