Explanation:
The City of Hollywood is completing a Citywide Climate Vulnerability Assessment Update with Tetra Tech, Inc. in order to fully comply with requirements set forth in Section 380.093, Florida Statutes, incorporate the City’s Stormwater Master Plan, conduct analyses to comply with Section 163.3178(2)(f) Florida Statutes; commonly referred to as the Peril of Flood statute, and draft corresponding, comprehensive plan language.
On October 12, 2022, the City Commission adopted Resolution R-2022-304, accepting a grant from the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (“FDEP”) for funding through its Resilient Florida Grant Program in the amount of $800,000.00 to fund the Citywide Climate Vulnerability Assessment Update. The FDEP awarded the total grant request which has no match requirement. The Climate Vulnerability Assessment Update will be submitted to FDEP by June 30, 2024 to comply with the grant requirements.
The Presentation provides a Project Overview, Vulnerability Results, Adaptation Plan, and Recommended Path Forward.
