Explanation:

The Police Department applied for the 2024 Justice Assistance Grant Program for $36,856.00.   The funding will be used to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to outfit officers with safety response equipment.  There is no required match for this grant.

 

This is a Public Safety initiative to outfit officers with AED equipment.  The implementation of this initiative will deploy 12 portable AED devices to officers on Patrol and will also be available at special events. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Grant funding in the amount of $36,856.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2025 Operating Budget of the Police Grant Fund (Fund 113) as detailed in Exhibit 1.
