Explanation:

The Police Department seeks to purchase an electric vehicle solar charging system.  This equipment is a portable charging solution for the Department’s expanding electric fleet. The charging system supports quicker charging times at an easily accessible location.

 

This purchase is funded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program to improve energy efficiency. The solar charging system is procured by piggybacking the General Services Administration purchasing agreement.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The funding for purchasing the EV ARC solar charging system is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in account number 113.209804.52100.564530.001937.000.000.
