Explanation:
The City wishes to serve as a host agency in the nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange student program, facilitated by the Council on International Educational Exchange (“CIEE”). Under the Program, the CIEE assigns program participants to the City for training and work experience at no cost to the City.
The City plans to serve as a host agency for the intercultural exchange student program going forward and will require reapproval of the terms and conditions each year.
The Host Agency Agreement proposed by the CIEE requires the City to indemnify the CIEE, and therefore City Commission approval is required.

There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with this item.
